Apple’s Next iPhone Might be More Expensive

According to Apple’s expert Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple’s may make the next iPhone 14 more costly than the iPhone 13. When compared to the iPhone 13 series, Kuo predicts that the total average selling price (ASP) of the iPhone 14 range might rise by 15%.

For comparison, the base price of the iPhone 13 basic model is $799 (after carrier discounts), while the prices of the Pro and Pro Max variants are $999 and $1,099, respectively. Although Kuo doesn’t provide pricing estimates for specific devices, he believes that the ASP of the iPhone 14 series, including the Pro variants, might range between $1,000 and $1,050. Kuo attributes the ASP hike to a “greater shipping proportion” as well as a likely price increase for the iPhone Pro and Pro Max.

According to Wedbush Securities analyst Dave Ives, who spoke to The Sun in June, pricing rises affecting the worldwide supply chain would cause the iPhone 14 to cost $100 more than the iPhone 13. While this is going on, a report from Korean leaker Lanzuk claims that only the Pro versions, not the standard iPhone 14, will see price increases from Apple’s.

While an upgraded 48-megapixel back camera and a selfie camera with autofocus are anticipated for the iPhone 14, it’s believed that the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max versions will receive the most of the improvements. The Pro and Pro Max may feature the new A16 processor, do away with the notch that houses the front-facing camera in favour of a pill-shaped hole-punch cutout, and enable an always-on display.
