AT&T Selected for Providing Next Generation 9-1-1 Services

The Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs has selected AT&T to implement ESInet, the managed IP network, and advanced 9-1-1 services. The advanced 9-1-1 services shall include call routing and emergency call statistic reporting, which will improved communication services in the state.

According to reports, the contract between AT&T and Wisconsin is valued at around $84 million. The agreement will last for two decades. The telecommunications firm will improve public safety and telecommunications support, dispatchers, and provide first responders, thereby allowing the protection to the state.

Through the collaboration, Wisconsin aims to modernize the communication system of the state and ensure the state has access to NextGen 9-1-1 services, and making people aware of ongoing threats.AT&T has been providing next-generation 9-1-1 services, legacy 9-1-1 call routing, call handling & database services, etc. The company remains committed to providing innovative technologies. AT&T is consistently providing public safety, flexible, and responsive solutions.  AT&T, through the contract, will provide a high-performing core routing platform, redundant and diverse connections, increased interoperability, advanced reporting solutions, multi-layered and highly secure network, and other Text-to-9-1-1 capabilities.

All together, AT&T will develop a safe environment within the state of Wisconsin. Once all the services are implemented, the citizens within Wisconsin will realize all the benefits of NextGen 9-1-1 services.The partnership aims to keep the communities safe and provide help in emergencies. This is the third consecutive wherein AT&T has been for the Frost & Sullivan with the Market Leadership Award for providing NextGen 9-1-1 Services in various states across the US.
