Investigation Launched in US into Tesla Cars Equipped with In-car Gameplay

NHTSA is Investigation over half a million Tesla cars equipped with In-car Gameplay. The Investigation are followed by a complaint filed by a user who discovered that he could play games while driving. Passenger Play feature is under scrutiny by the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Users can play the game on their touchscreen in the car. The feature warns before the game starts that the game is only for passengers and confirms of this before the game starts. But as it is noted that a driver discovered that he could play the game while driving and as it may distract the driver and lead to further mishaps, the NHTSA is Investigation the feature.

The NHTSA added that earlier the feature was available only when the car was in park mode, but the new feature now allows the user to play while the car is in motion. According to the NHTSA, the game features should be designed uniquely so that the driver cannot use it while driving. However, last month a user of Tesla discovered that he can play the game in park mode as well as while driving. Soon, the user filed a complaint and followed by the Investigation of NHTSA into the game features.
