PS Plus to get Free Games in August 2021

Hunter’s Arena: Legends, one of the upcoming PS Plus titles, was announced early at the most recent State of Play. The game, an ancient Asia-inspired battle royale game with PvE aspects, will be released on PS Plus on the same day as the PlayStation platform. The game is already available in early access on Steam, where it has received largely mediocre reviews, so it will be fascinating to see how it performs on PS4 and PS5.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville and Tennis World Tour 2 will join it on PS Plus as the two PS4 games, which were first leaked by Sony but verified in today’s announcement. Players choose a team in Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, either a Plant or a Zombie, and battle in a range of cooperative and competitive game types. It’s a decent choice for co-op aficionados because split-screen local multiplayer is accessible in all modes, but despite its varied gameplay, it’s a game that you either love or despise.

Tennis World Tour 2 is, on the other hand, precisely what it says on the tin. It’s a tennis game that’s gotten mixed reviews since its September 2020 debut. Tennis lovers may find it satisfying, especially as a free game, but, like Plants vs. Zombies, its appeal is confined to a small group of people. On August 3, PS Plus subscribers will be able to claim these games, however gamers can still claim the PS Plus free games for July 2021 if they choose.

A Plague Tale: Innocence was released for the PS5 this month, along with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and WWE 2K Battlegrounds for the PS4. Interestingly, each of these games is getting a sequel, with A Plague Tale: Requiem being announced recently, a new Call of Duty game coming out this fall, and WWE 2K22 aiming to make up for the last two years. Due the PS Plus free games for August 2021 were totally revealed ahead of time, subscriber response has been negative.
