Researchers at University of Minnesota Invent AI enabled climate models

The current climate models are capable of determining how much the Earth will warm in by end of this century. But the new climate model introduced by the Researchers at University of Minnesota integrated with AI has the ability to forecast the precise magnitude of warming. Future water availability, ability to choose better crops based on water availability in future are some key goals for developing the AI and big data integrated climate models. The precise information will help the scientists further study more the future extreme weather patterns and sea level rise.

The University of Minnesota Twin Cities Researchers is a part of new $25 million climate modelling center. It is funded by US National Science Foundation. The climate modelling center aims to integrate AI and Bid Data for developing enhanced and optimised climate models that will help prepare for the future disruptions.

Precise study such as projections for water availability, ability to choose better crops based on water availability in future are some key goals for developing the AI and big data integrated climate models.

Through the precise climate models the National Science Foundation aims to enhance future planning decisions and empower people to understand the impact of changing climate.  The integration of artificial intelligence and big data is believed to give people a clearer insights on future climate thereby empowering them to take definite steps to limit the climate change effect and take more sustainable decisions.
